The Troy FFA Chapter was established November 5, 1939. B.B. Shaw was the first production agricultural instructor.  Mr. Cherry followed him in the 1940's.  Mr. H. D. Kay, Jr. came to Troy to be our agricultural teacher in 1947 and retired after 34 years in 1981.  Roy Howard Martin followed Mr. Kay until he went into the insurance business in 1985.  Ben D. Alley followed Mr. Martin in 1985 and had been at Troy for 27 years untill May 2012 when he retired. From our small start to today, we are still rapidly growing. Here at Troy, we have a wide range of activities and courses that create a wide diversity for our over 250 members. We participate in CDEs, LDEs, livestock shows and scholarship programs.

This program has provided students with the drive, determination, and leadership skills to better help them progress in their future careers and complete their goals. Our favorite saying is "Lead, follow or get out of our way!" We are proud to boast a friendly, outgoing environment that has something for everyone!

The 2019-2020 school year will be the 80 year anniversary of the Troy FFA. We will be finding our first year members and getting everyone together for this great event. If you are one of the first members of the Troy FFA, contact us so we can add you to our search
